I'm not getting email notifications AT ALL! Can anything be done?

You were cleaned from our mailing list in 2019 because our emails to you hard bounced (that means they were returned as your email was invalid). I informed you of this by email in May. Did you not get the email?

That was when the email account associated with EYB was locked through no fault of my own AFAIK. I could not receive even an email from you. It was afterward unlocked by the only person on the planet who knows how to do so.

But here's the rub: after the account was unlocked, I went back to receiving notifications until a few months ago. Then, first the indexing notifications stopped (i.e. a book on your Bookshelf was indexed, but the Forum notifications continued. Then the Forum notifications stopped.

Last email notification I got was June 30. It had an error message with a link that led to the Forums.

ETA: I just got a Forum notification. We'll see.

There are two different email systems. The emails sent through Mail Chimp (newsletter, weekly roundup, notification of newly indexed books) are a subscription and once you have unsubscribed or been cleaned, we cannot add you back. We are currently in the process of adding a MailChimp Subscribe box to our Home Page which will allow anyone who was previously unsubscribed to rejoin the list. That is the only way MailChimp will allow someone to rejoin.

The other emails are ones you sign-up for individually - the notifications of new posts on the Forum. If you haven't received a notification since June 30 (until today) it may be that the topics you follow have not had any new posts. Or the emails went into your spam/junk folder - have you checked there? Anyone who wants to recieve EYB emails should add @eatyourbooks.com to their safe senders list to avoid emails being filtered as spam. However if you feel you are definitely missing notifications, please do email us with more details.
