I wonder if I can ask a question about Import Books. Just the other day I wanted to import a new book called Eat Weeds ( 9781760761493). It appears in Amazon Australia, Booktopia, Book Depository and other sites, but not on Amazon US.

So far it has not been added to the library. I am not sure what happens when we request a book to be imported. Will it be imported even if it is not on Amazon US? Will the ISBN be checked again in the future to see if it is now available?

Also, a follow-up question - I have at least a couple of dozen books that are not in the library. Most of these have ISBNs and I would have requested them through Import Books. But only 3 appear under "Not on Amazon". Is there a list available of all of the ISBNs I have requested for import but have not been imported? Otherwise I will need to go through my collection checking books to see if they are in the EYB library. (Sadly I did have a list of them until recently, but deleted it :( )

Ganga108 - have you read about our new feature, which I think will satisfy all your requests? This is the Blog post that explains the new feature. You can now add any book not listed on Amazon and also see a list of all your prior requests that did not import.

I did read that, thanks, and you can imagine I am very delighted by that new feature.

But back to the Eats Weeds book - it is fairly widely available, just not on Amazon US yet. I used Import with the ISBN, but it has not been added. Should I add it manually or will it be picked up automatically at some stage?

Because that book is not listed on Amazon US yet you will need to add it using the new feature if you want it on your Bookshelf now. You can view the other two books that you had previously requested that had not imported by clicking My Added Books under the My Bookshelf tab, then selcting the Not on Amazon option.

I tried to import an old ISBN-less book and the record came out all wrong. The author was wrong and other details were either missing or in the wrong place. How can I correct it?

Once you have saved a book you can't go back in and edit it. Email us with any changes. I have corrected your book but please do let me know if there is anything else that should be changed.
