However, my daily browsing of members' reviews means I may want to remember a recipe that is totally not right for the present conditions, i.e., borscht when it's 113 in August. So I have made a list of organized bookmarks by the calendar..."01 Cooking for the Month of January", "02 Cooking for the Month of February" through "09 Cooking for the Month of September". After that, use the 10 for October, etc. A very helpful hint from a forum member who told me how to thwart the computer's urge to alphabetize and numerically-list stuff, not the way I wanted. List all months with "0-number" until you get to the "1" months. Voila, calendar listings in order.
This is useful when you find a neat recipe for, say, gingerbread cookies in April. Yes, we can make gingerbread cookies anytime of the year, but isn't it a sacrilege to make Christmas cookies at Easter? Better put that note in December.
