I understand blogs in the tradtional concept, but how it's added here I do not understand.  For Example, sites such as Serious Eats, etc which I do not consider blogs.  But, perhaps it is.

Can sites such as Panna also be added as blogs or something about this site that would not qualify?  It seems like same as Serious Eats as both looking for ads or joining $.  Also, how about youtube sites?  For example, Cooking with Dog?  I love their recipes.

Rinshin -- The heading of "Blogs" on EYB encompasses traditional blogs as you said, but also food websites and columns (like Mark Bittman's NY Times columnns & Diana Henry's Telegraph columns) -- basically any site or part of a site (like the columns) indexed in its entirety where all recipes are available online.

The sites you mentioned can certainly be requested in our forum thread for Blog Requests. But keep in mind that just like for books, there needs to be a sufficient number of member requests before we can consider professional indexing and we do also need permission from the blog/website/columnist before we can index a site or blog in full. So not every blog that is requested can necessarily be indexed.

Individual recipes from (almost) any site or blog can be member-indexed using the Bookmarklet so long as there is not a paywall making them unavailable to the general public. If there is a paywall and you are a paying member of that particular site with access to their recipes, you can index them as Personal Recipes instead of using the Bookmarklet. I believe Panna does have a paywall, so those would be better added as Personal Recipes.

YouTube recipes can also be indexed with the Bookmarklet and when I proofread the submission, I can load the video into the EYB recipe entry.
