I'm looking for fresh green peppercorns for Thai cooking.

I'd also love to find a source for tamarind leaves and white tumeric while I'm at it. Does anyone have advice either online or in the NY area?

Have you tried Kalustyan's (https://foodsofnations.com/) in India town (123 Lexington Ave, near 28th St.): If they don't have it, you probably won't be able to find it in NYC. Some products are available online.

I don't know if they carry the specific items you mentioned, but have you tried http://www.bangkokcentergrocery.com/ ? I found some things there I couldn't find elsewhere and they may have ideas for sourcing if they don't have the items you seek in stock.

We recently (pre COVID lockdown) came back from a SE Asian tour: with the intention of having a go at growing our own peppercorn vine.. think they'd make quite a nice indoor plant in colder climates than mine (Brisbane, Australia)! Not that it helps your immediate  search in NYC as they take 2 - 3 years to fruit. I've just ordered my vine inspired by this post!!
