My son in law gave me a cookbook based on a video game called The Elder Scrolls. Most of the foods from this fantasy world are renamed common ingredients, with regional spice mixes. Lots of 'substituted' ingredients like cranberries and beef for 'horker meat'. I am actually planning on making the leek crostata with rye crust, which has one of the spice mixes, tonight.

Fair enough. I read in some tie-in that Captain Kirk likes plomeek soup, but of course Earth foodstuffs have to be substituted for the plomeeks.

How about stewed Nizzards, cold Nizzards, fried Nizzards, and Nizzard hash? Having to eat Nizzards is a punishment, but replacing them with real poultry or game birds might improve the dish.

ETA: Thank you, Mrs. L., for telling us that Twinkie tiramisù is good. I had thought it was throwing good food after bad.
