Hi

I came across an Asian recipe for smoked duck (smoking it myself) and want to find other smoking recipes I may have. So my question is how do I narrow a search to exclude everything that includes already-smoked ingredients? Is there a way of searching for "smoked" in only the title field?

Thanks
Roger

Someone cleverer with the search functions will certainly have a better answer, but I find my home-smoked recipes by using the ingredient search for wood chips. Or ‘smoked’ + ‘tea’ yields a lot of stovetop smoked recipes too.

That's a good idea.

But I think I have worked it out:

title:smoked -ingredient:smoked

I get there via book types>cooking methods>smoking and curing.

Might yield you different results,

Search results query... I just did a search on "beetroot" in my bookshelf.. and for some reason recipes with absolutely no beetroot as an ingredient were included.. seems to be triggered by the "beet" part .. as in recipes including silverbeet (but no beet/beetroot.. they're not releated vegetables so why does soliverbeet get triggered by the specific word search "beetroot"????

This is a known bug which our developers have to resolve. The search includes linked ingredients which sometimes throws in some odd results - beetroot is linked to beets and silverbeets then come up.
