WhooHoo! The count of books in EYB is already up to 58,000 and rising every second. How exciting!

Yes, it is exciting.  It has taken a long time to get to the final load of the new books data but it is finally happening.  Once it is all loaded I will post on the Community page and Blog that all the books that members had not been able to load so far - especially British, Australian and New Zealand ones - can now be added to your Bookshelf.  It is possible that even with 78,000 or so books (not sure of the final number as it is still loading) that we may not have some older, out-of-print books.  Just enter those ISBNs in the Book import feature and we then know we have to add them.  When they get added to the Library they will automatically go onto your Bookshelf.

Hmm 78,867 seems to be it. In the EYB library the drop-down lists now include authors that weren't there earlier, such as Ian Parmenter and Australian Women's Weekly. However, I still can't retrieve the actual books. Maybe there's another step to go before we can do that. I guess we won't know for quite a few hours though, as everybody on the other side of the world should be asleep now. EVEN JANE :)

OK, to answer part of my own question, I can find several of Ian Parmenter's books in EYB now, and several pages of Australian Women's Weekly books. However, the recipe count in my EYB bookshelf has increased by over 1,000, although I still have the same number of indexed books. I wonder why?

I'm so excited about this upload!  I can't wait to get some time to enter more books.  I have to find my barcode scanner first (which will be an adventure considering I still haven't unpacked half of the boxes I brought to the new house last August...)  Great job Jane!!
