For cookbooks like The Complete America's Test Kitchen and The Complete Cook's Country, for the recipe notes to carry over from one edition to the next? So, for example, any notes on recipes for 2015 edition would carry over to the 2016 edition, and so on, so that the most recent edition would have all the notes from all the previous editions?

I don't know if there is any practical way of doing this, or how many users it would benefit. And these two books might be the only books of this type.

Thanks

Yes they do carry over for those annuals. It does seem to be the America's Test Kitchen family and spin offs that do these annuals that get the latest year added in. That would be America's Test Kitchen, Cook's Country and Milk Street.

We copy the recipe index (which includes Notes, Ratings and photos) over for the new edition and the indexer then inserts the new added recipes. However this will only mean that the member additions get copied at that time so anything added after that would need to be entered in both indexes. I know some members take the time to search the Library for other instances of the recipe (even though they don't own that) and copy their Notes and photos to each, which is very helpful (thank you!).

Thanks Jane. That makes perfect sense.
