I have noticed that the "member indexed" books do not include the page number, and the others do.  Why?  

That is so helpful when looking for recipes. Otherwise, I am still having to go through the index to find what page the recipe is on.  

I am also just adding the page number myself in my personal notes.

I recently finished "member indexing" a title and the page numbers are included. I believe page numbers were a later addition to the indexing form and so titles indexed a while ago will not have page numbers included.

I agree with averythingcooks, this is mainly down to page numbers being added to the indexing form later.  It's also possible that the member is indexing from an eBook rather than a physical book - I've indexed quite a few ebooks and you cannot add page numbers, as you don't have them.

Books have only had page numbers identified since 2015.. so library additions of books indexed before February 2015 didn't have page numbers.. some of those older books have had page numbers added subsequently. 

debkellie is correct. If any members would like to add page numbers to books already indexed, please do email us and we can assign it to you. Much easier than doing a complete index! And maybe an introduction for anyone who has been hovering on the verge of indexing - you can see how it is done without having to do it.
