When I come across a book that doesn't bother to print the page number on any one of its recipe pages I wonder what they are thinking. What is the logic of providing an index to recipes, referencing the page numbers, but not to put the numbers on the actual page of the recipe. Instead you have to do a "Where's Wally" and hunt for the number on the opposite photo page hidden artfully amongst colourful backgrounds. The two offending volumes I found today are Delicious quick smart cook and Faking It, both by Valli Little and published under Australian ABC banner.
