I was surprised not to see this topic, so maybe I am missing this category elsewhere. But in the meantime, I will start off the thread.

I was quite surprised to not find this particular cookbooks since all of the others in the series seem to be available:

Food & Wine Annual Cookbook an entire year of recipes 2008

That book is in the EYB Library and it is indexed - http://www.eatyourbooks....od--wine-annual-cookbook .  If you don't find a book on your first search with words, try by ISBN or try using fewer words.  I searched with "Food wine annual 2008".

If you ever find there is a book that you own and it is not in the EYB Library you can request it is added by importing the ISBN using our Import Books link in the left navigation.  This is explained in our Help section, FAQ, under About Cookbooks "How can I get a book added to the EYB Library?"

Thanks Jane!

I keep hoping that "Saving the Season" by Kevin West will get indexed. It's been highly rated by T. Susan Chang on Cookbook Finder app. Any outlook on this request? Thanks.

Why don't you index the book yourself? It's the surest way to get something indexed.

Saving the Season is on our "to be indexed" list.  It wasn't just Susie's pick - it was on 11 best cookbook lists.

Excellent. Thanks Jane. Looking forward to seeing "Saving the Season." I would have started indexing it myself, but it's much longer than any of the other cookbooks I've indexed in the past. Glad to know that it's on the list already.

Hi there,

What happens if you have imported the ISBN numbers but the EYB response is 'it is not in the EYB library'?  I have quite a few books like that, and they are written in English. So I can't even index them myself as EYB library does not recognise them.

Some of the books members try to add with an ISBN number via the Import Books feature we are able to add if the book's information can be found on Amazon. This is done periodically and you will see the requested books appear if you sort your bookshelf by "Date Added to Library" -- that way you will see the newest additions.

However, any book with or without an ISBN can be added manually if you are volunteering to index it. You can email the information to [email protected] and include title, sub-title, author, publisher, publication date, format, # of pages and cover image (scan or photo) along with your request.

Thanks Christine.  I didn't know we could do that with books not recognised by the EYB library.  I will do so in the future then :-)

Thanks again

This is great to know! I have a neat book that doesn't have an ISBN and isn't in EYB that I wouldn't mind indexing after I'm done with my current book.
