The notes about recipes made on this site is amazing.  I love reading them.  I can tell from reading the reviews/notes that people who are part of this group are serious cooks.  We are free to express our true feelings about recipes made here unlike many sites such as certain magazines sites, web sites such as serious eats.  I feel so fortunate to have found this web site.  I hope it expands into more things.

Thank you Rinshin - we also think that EYB members are an amazing group.  We really appreciate you taking the time to tell us how much you love the site.

I too love the notes on recipes and I've found many new recipes (and cookbooks) through these.  I would love to see it expanded though.  Being able to comment on notes (a bit like comments on reviews on Amazon) would be a really useful feature to consider for the future.

I would second Susan_F's comment i.e. being able to comment on notes, ask questions to the note writer about the recipe, other people chipping in and having a 'conversation'.  A bit of Amazon comments and maybe also like Facebook thread.  That would be fab :-)

YES!  I would love this feature as well.  Many times I've wanted to ask a question or make a suggestion, but the only way to do that is to write a separate note that may or may not be seen by the original poster.

I agree! For example, Rinshin posted a note re: Harumi's famous deep- fried chicken with a leek sauce indicating that the original Japanese version of the recipe is better. It'd be nice if I could reply to her note to ask what the original recipe looks like.

oh gosh, I know what you mean.  Several times I've wanted to ask questions about recipes made.  That would be such a great feature.  I don't read reviews of books on EYB at all, but I read all notes on recipes made and I think that is one of strongest feature of this site.
