Recernly acquired a copy of the National Trust Complete Country Cookbook. However a search for this with the terms "national trust cookbook" did not find the edition I now have. Searching using the books ISBN did not find it either; I used 978-1907892455 and 9781907892455. Using one of those ISBN forms I added it to my bookshelf and low-and-behold it showed the book's entry. Even better there are 137 other EYBers who have it on their bookshelves.

I have addedd it to my bookshelf. However searching for it by title does not find it neither oin my bookshelf nor the library. The only way that it shows up is by attempting to add the book using its ISBN (now told it is in my bookshelf) followed by searching for it with the ISBN. And the book is till not displayed in the library; a paperback edition is but there is no link to the hardback edition. Something is not right here.

Linked books are "hidden" from book search. On the listing for the indexed edition you click the links icon to see all linked editions or view the More details tab on the book details page. This isn't a bug but the way the data structure was set up by our original developers (which I wish they hadn't). If you ever cannot find a book by title or ISBN then importing the ISBN is the best way since that adds the book directly to your Bookshelf, whether linked or not. And if the book is not yet in the Library it will get added (as long as it is listed on Amazon)

The issue in your search for this book was that the National Trust Complete Country Cookbook is linked to The National Trust Farmhouse Cookbook so the title search didn't show the indexed edition. I have now changed the title of the indexed edition to include both titles so any future search by National Trust Complete Country Cookbook will show the indexed edition.
