Hi Jane,

I have a very new book from Amazon, but it is not listed on EYB yet. Is there a delay on updating EYB?

To request that a book is added to the Library, you need to import the ISBN using the Import Books feature (select from your My Bookshelf drop down at the top of the page) - just enter the ISBN into the Import box and click Add Books. If the book exists in the EYB Library it will be added to your Bookshelf immediately - if not, we download the information from Amazon, this is usually within 24 hours and it is automatically added to your Bookshelf.  

If it doesn't exist on Amazon, or if Amazon neglected to add a food or drink tag (a requirement we had to add as some new members imported their entire book collections), then it cannot be added that way. In that case you need to add the book data yourself using our new Member Added Books feature which you can read more about here in Help.

Looks like I was wrong--the book did finally import without me doing anything further.

It depends how much else I have going on. In theory I check every day and add any English language books that didn't import from Amazon. It's still quite a bit of work to add each book - both because the Amazon import misses quite a bit of data and because Amazon has quite a few errors. And then I need to add all the EYB category tags. For that reason we aren't importing non-English books - members should add the data for those books using Add Member Books, if they want those on their Bookshelf.

If I have a lot on then it could be a few days. Or if a member imports a huge number of eBooks then that will get chipped away at over time. I added the books imported today, including yours whitewoods.
