Wester is absolutely right, that is the comparable indexed edition of Mastering the Art of French Cooking for you to add to your Bookshelf. Volume One of Mastering the Art of French Cooking was published in 1961, but Volume Two didn't appear until 1970, so yours must be Volume One...and it could be a valuable first edition if there are no other reprint dates below "Published October 1961"! I own a copy of Volume One that is the 24th reprinting from 1973 but is quite valuable as it's signed "Bon Appetit, Julia Child" (it wasn't terribly uncommon to find signed used copies in the Boston/Cambridge area, but they're quite scarce now).
Unfortunately, because Volume One was published before the advent of the ISBN system, we can't add that specific first edition to the EYB Library at this time, but the edition we have indexed (as well as those we've linked to the indexed master edition) is identical in content, recipe order, etc. to all the later reprint editions. So if you add http://www.eatyourbooks....tering-the-art-of-french to your Bookshelf, you'll have access to all 605 indexed recipes in your searches.
