The Art of Living According to Joe Beef - $1.99

"The debut cookbook from one of the most celebrated restaurants in Canada, featuring inventive twists on French market cuisine, plus spirited anecdotes and lush photography.

Earning rave reviews for their unforgettable approach, Joe Beef co-owners/chefs David McMillan and Frédéric Morin push the limits of traditional French cuisine with over 125 recipes (nearly all of them photographed) for hearty dishes infused with irreverent personality. The Strip Loin Steak comes complete with ten variations, Kale for a Hangover wisely advises the cook to eat and then go to bed, and the Marjolaine includes tips for welding your own cake mold. Joe Beef’s most popular dishes are also represented, such as Spaghetti Homard-Lobster, Foie Gras Breakfast Sandwich, Pork Fish Sticks, and Pojarsky de Veau (a big, moist meatball served on a bone). The coup de grâce is the Smorgasbord—Joe Beef’s version of a Scandinavian open-faced sandwich—with thirty different toppings.

Featuring lively stories and illustrations showcasing gangsters, oysters, Canadian railroad dining car food, the backyard smoker, and more, this nostalgic yet utterly modern cookbook is a groundbreaking guide to living an outstanding culinary life."

I noticed a few books on sale on Amazon in Canada and USA.
Sheet pan suppers by Molly Gilbert for $1.99 or less
Quite a few books by Alice Medrich such as Flavor Flours and others.

Ooh, I've been eyeing sheet pan suppers.  I haven't found a store locally that had it in stock and being that we get our veg locally from a CSA I've found a lot of recipes that require me to buy out of season items from the store, something I'm trying to avoid when we already get 20lb per week. For 1.99 i dont' care if I only use 1 recipe :D

This is a WONDERFUL thread.  Thank you to everyone and keep posting those Kindle cookbook deals!

One thing I have noticed, though, is that Amazon has different deals in different countries.  So, when I (who live in the US) follow links that point to the Canadian website, the price is not the wonderful deal that folks in Canada are getting.  So sad!

Now, if there were only a way to search Amazon for great Kindle cookbook deals that would filter out all those titles like "50 ways to lose weight by eating grapefruit rinds!"

Exactly!! I don't know how people find the true gems as I slog through pages and pages of fluff. Keep it up, I'm counting on you!

To reply to PinchOfSalt, the kindle books in Canada are sometimes not the same, but often they are. Sometimes they are the same price as the ones in the US, but in Canadian funds, so we get a break there. And we're used to paying higher prices here for everything, basically, so these kindle books are a great bargain.

BarbN...A while back on this thread another EYB member posted the link to the top selling kindle books on Amazon.com. I just go through those and you often find the ones that are on sale. Or you can just keep watching this thread!

And those Alice Medrich books (cookies, Flavor Flours etc) are still on sale on Amazon.ca.

I agree with Eliza that we don't have it too bad here in Canada. I noticed that "Bowl" is regular priced in Canada but reduced in USA. Too bad we will have to wait. For those interested Rose Lexy Berenbaum' s Pie and Pastry Bible is $2.99 (CAN). Thanks to everyone for keeping this thread going!

If you sign up for daily email from bookbub.com you will get a short list of deals every day that almost always includes one cookbook. I have found quite a few that way. I really should cancel the newsletter!

Whole Bowls by Allison Day $2.12 on Amazon.ca, $1.57 on Amazon.com.

Over time I have begun to think that some of the great Kindle book deals on Amazon come from Amazon (usually via monthly deals) and others come from the publisher (deals start and end randomly).  The books that Amazon has discounted usually can be found in one place.  Here is a link to the current US list:

Enjoy!

Maybe Amazon is giving different prices to different customers?  I have heard that they do that.  When I look at Amazon.com, the price is $9,50!
