Member indexing is done on a voluntary basis.  The benefit is that you can index books on your bookshelf that might otherwise never be indexed either because so few members own them or relatively few members have requested an index.  

If there's a book that you'd like to have indexed its always worth ticking "request EYB to index", as a tally is kept of requests and maybe that book might just reach the indexing threshold.. Member indexing takes time, and is a labour of love, but it can be quite rewarding to discover hidden gems that you haven't ever *really* looked at in that book that's been sitting on your shelf for years!

Hi do you publish the 'tally' as it would provide useful information in judging the probability of EYB indexing a particular book or whether to member index.

We don't publish a tally on the indexing chart as it changes all the time. But generally the number of Bookshelves a book is on is a good guide as to which of your unindexed books will be done next. Filter your Bookshelf Books tab by Unindexed books then sort by Popularity. The ones at the top are the ones most likely to be indexed by EYB.
