Hi, Paula -- Yes, you will receive an automatic notification from the system whenever an unindexed book or magazine on your Bookshelf has been indexed. And please feel free to request that EYB index any other books you own that haven't been indexed yet; every Request Index "vote" from a member makes a title rise up the rankings that EYB uses to determine our professional indexers' assignments. Just make sure that you click on the button to the left in the pop-up window to Request EYB to Index.
By the way, EYB has already indexed both the The Professional Chef, 7th Edition and The Professional Chef, 8th Edition. If your 9th Edition is substantially similar to either of those editions -- most of the same recipes, in the same order -- we might be able to copy the indexed recipes over to the 9th Edition as a starting point for that index.
