I apologize if this is covered somewhere and a matter an RTFM (Read The Fine (or effing) Manual) sort of moment... and if it is, just point me at the 'Read Me'.


Could the leaders briefly explain why blogs are candidates for indexing, but websites are not? I'm sure there's a very good technical reason. I ask because there are a few standout websites (like the BBC food section), that would be wonderful to have indexed.

So far it has generally been the scale of websites that prevented them getting indexed. But we do index sections of websites e.g. all these NY Times columns. We are currently in the process of improving our recipe imports and we then hope to start indexing more websites (and blogs).

Thanks Jane. I was afraid it might be something about the formatting of blog entries that was key. Websites do have the problem that they can be reorganized without notice.
