We can edit our own forum posts; why can't we edit our blog comments?

They are on different platforms. Wordpress does not have a commenter edit option. It is fairly standard in blogs not to have commenter edits - since it is often a conversation of sorts, it would be strange if someone could go back and edit what they originally posted and the following comments no longer made sense (which of course is true of the Forum too).

I've especially appreciated the edit function in the Forum because of the aggressive "auto-correct" on my Kindle Fire. But I try to remember to note edits explicitly when I do it for anything other than typos or minor smoothing, and I'd like to encourage other Forum participants to do so too.

The reason I'm posting this is that even before posting, autocorrect makes editing comments into a moving target. Fortunately, the editor of the EYB blog cleaned up my post :)

I do regularly review all blog comments both in order to remove spam and to read members' interesting comments. When doing so I do correct typos and insert links into text (something members cannot do, in order to avoid being inundated with spam).

You cannot create polls in this forum.
You cannot vote in polls in this forum.
