Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, and maybe I'm doing something strange.. In the past, when a book or magazine in my collection has been indexed the recipes in it have appeared in book order as the first page of "my recipes" listing. A few days ago I noticed that two books in my collection, which have recently been indexed, do NOT appear in that style (but are there when I search 'my recipes': using the book title, or if I sort by title).. It seemed to happen after I added a Mark Bittman book, for which only a handful of recipes appear in the "expected" manner, the balance findable as above.. and a recipe in a book I don't own and for which I only looked at a note,  now appears in my recipe list (and I didn't request that it so do and I want to remove it.. but can't see a remove button )....  what do I need to do to "restore" my former utility (ie: when one of mine is indexed it appears first in the "my recipes" tab..?

I am noticing recipes that are appearing at the top of my list that were indexed some time ago...but now seem to have page numbers included in the description? What is up with these page numbers and the re-sort?

I can explain why the Mark Bittman recipes are appearing - it's because we are proofreading some of his books.  They were indexed in the very early days when quality control wasn't quite so stringent.  Unlike a newly indexed book when the recipes all go live once the book is approved, as each recipe is saved it's appearing at the top of your list.  I have Bittman books on my Bookshelf, but once I discounted these, all other recipes were coming up in the order they had been indexed.  Try viewing your results with this search to see more clearly if they are still not in the right order.

Cheri - I think you'll find all those recipes from older indexed books are also Bittmans.

We are working with Mark Bittman to create a record of all his recipes and we agreed to include page numbers in his books - this isn't something we're planning on doing for all indexed books at this stage.

Deb - I can't reproduce your issue of a recipe appearing on your Bookshelf - if it happens again, let me know.  You can delete it by clicking on the recipe name - if you hover over the 'Bookshelf' box under the title you'll see it changes to remove - click on it.  You can only do this for individual recipes on your Bookshelf, not ones that are part of a book, magazine or blog you have added.
