pg 138 CREAMY TOMATO SOUP - i made this this evening. it was super easy and made for a delicious creamy meal on a cold evening after my husband got back home from work rather late. It did look a bit pale and anaemic in colour ( pink rather than tomato red) so visually it was not the best, but the taste made up for it. I did add half a red chilli that was left over from a previous meal - which I added with the onions and celery.

pg 98 - Made May 2018 - KIDNEY BEAN STIR FRY. Easy one pot dish. Full of colour and texture.

pg 92 REVIVE CHILLI. - This was a very nice chilli and easy to make. i added a little bit more than a pinch of cayenne and thought I had overdone it- oops! Fortunately it wasn't a disaster after all.

pg 74 -NOT BUTTER CHICKEN I used this as a base and added cooked chicken instead of the tofu. The sauce was very nice.

Easy dish to make. I added a few more cloves of garlic and some frozen black eyed peas that I had pre cooked. I didn't blend this as I had misplaced my stick blender after a house move. Did it make any difference? It still tasted delicious. Because I had been given a lot of cavelo Nero I thought it would be nice to add some to this dish. Overall a quick and easy whip up midweek meal for the family. It was tasty without being overpowering. Even my 10 yr old enjoyed it. Will make this again.

A popular recipe in my house. Using ingredients I tend to always have in. If I want something quick, easy and tasty I will often come back to this.

  • Classic hummus

I use 1 Tbs tahini and 1 Tbs peanut butter

  • Date puree

    • Hellyloves2cook on May 15, 2017

A good idea to make a batch up as many of the recipes in this book use this as a sweetener. I even make some to put in the freezer.

  • Buckwheat hotcakes with cashew and pear cream

    • Hellyloves2cook on May 15, 2017

pg 162 I made this about a year ago, so I am having to rely on my memory. These were easy to make. I remember thinking they were quite pleasant. They were definitely all devoured. I think I will make them again in the very near future and post another comment.
