      These turned out ok, but I expected more. I reduced both sugars which was fine for the sweetness level but the cookies tasted a lot like baking soda. Maybe I shouldn’t have reduced the brown sugar that much. Also, I didn’t like the coconut here that much. Would have preferred more pecans instead of coconut. I only made half of the recipe and got about 40 cookies with a medium cookie scoop.
