    Excellent! Use Marcella beans and add Italian sausage. Quick and delicious.

    Pretty good and quite easy. Don’t know what country mustard is, so just use Dijon.

    Great flavor, and I didn't even use the chive oil (no chive on hand). I also didn't bother with all the straining. The almonds didn't add much, in my opinion.

    Very good but this makes a lot. I used only 2 bunches of rainbow chard and even after cooking down there was tons. I did love the little pops of extra flavor from the raisins, etc. I added the cheese on top when serving but honestly I don't think it was necessary! This would be just as good without.

• Baked eggs with corned beef and sauerkraut hash

    Quite good. I made a few changes: I used a can of corned beef, a 30 oz bag of frozen hash brown potatoes and a bit more kraut than called for because I needed to use up my jar of home-made kraut. I also made the Russian dressing in the same issue.

• Winter stollen cookies

    Delicious, if a little fiddly, since you have to roll up 2 layers and you can't really see it in the finished product. Great for those that love almond flavor.
