  • Nutty mashed sweet potatoes

      This was a pleasant surprise! The tahini lends the sweet potatoes a nuttiness we really liked. The directions say to mash all the ingredients together in a food processor but I couldn’t see dirtying an appliance for a simple side dish. I used a hand masher with great results.

  • Sherry-glazed parsnips with pomegranate

      This is a great little recipe if you like parsnips. The combination of flavors is subtle, and the parsnips brown to a lovely color. I don’t usually like pomegranates that much, but the arils added a delicious component to this dish, both in terms of flavor and appearance.
