Pineapple Hog- delicious variation on chocolate hedgehog. Best to wait a day before eating.

I couldn't find anything about this book online so I took a chance and ordered it sight unseen, mainly because I adore baking and Allyson's recipes have worked well for me. I am very pleasantly surprised! Every recipe has an accompanying photo and the recipes themselves do an excellent job of walking the fine line of covering off the basics while at the same time introducing enough variations and new to me ideas that gets me excited to start baking straight away. In addition there is some really excellent baking information provided. Seeing as how this book isn't indexed as yet, some of the recipes that caught my eye are: Whoopies with Matcha Butter Icing, Gateau Creusois, Galliano White Chocolate Fudge Cake, Guava White Chocolate Cheesecake, Lemon Brownies, Beyaz Noel (a clever riff on White Christmas) Chocolate Raspberry Coconut Ice Slice, Pineapple Hog, Boysenberry Ripple Muffins, Alfajores, Cranberry ANZAC biscuits, Persian rosewater biscuits.
