Publishers Text

We are pleased to bring you a reprint of the 1958 edition of "The Episcopal Cook Book" in response to innumerable requests. With so many cookbooks on the market today, we especially appreciate the fact that our friends asked for an identical copy to replace their old book so worn with use. Thank you, Friends. Since that last publication Christ Church has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Though the church has been holding services in Bastrop since 1851, the present building dates from 1897 and is recognized as a fine example of "Carpenter's Gothic." The building is also unusual for being in the shape of a Greek Cross. We invite you to visit our landmark and to worship with us at any time.
