These are the dinner rolls I grew up on - every holiday my grandmother made these and I learned how to make all the different shapes as a child. I still pull out this recipe whenever I have the time for the holidays to make these, it's absolute nostalgia and a favorite taste memory.

Publishers Text

Bread baking is easy ... And satisfying, too The "Whys" and "Hows" of bread making are easy to follow by following the exact steps of preparation provided in this cookbook. Every recipe was developed in the test kitchens of Sunset magazine, tested several times, and served to a discerning panel of food experts before it was chosen for publication. Thorough coverage is given to yeast breads, sweet yeast breads, sourdough breads, and quick breads. Preparation, serving techniques, and organization tips are suggested for each category along with helpful hints for storage and freezing. The main idea is to introduce the reader to the satisfactions of bread making along with the necessary instructional material.
