This was fun to make. Kids loved it and helped. We did about 10 toppings - the only one the kids didn't like was the rosemary one. It's not as intimidating as the recipe looks.

Not a difficult recipe, but it does take some time since you’re making bread from scratch. We did 6 toppings (mozzarella, cheddar, parm, pesto, paprika, and chia seeds instead of poppy). It came out pretty well, although stacking the blocks did mean some of the bottom toppings came off on the top bread blocks. Would consider a bigger dish and a single layer if we made it again.

  • Baked potato bites

    • Acarroll on April 08, 2024

Delicious! Best recipe from this book so far. We used vegan cheese, butter, and sour cream to make it dairy-free. Pancetta instead of bacon because I had some leftover. Kids (and adults) loved it.

  • Hoglins and lava

    • Acarroll on April 07, 2024

None of us liked the Vienna sausages. Would have preferred Field Roast mini sausage.

  • Noodle caves

So delicious. My son was slightly offended by the tiny, barely visible pieces of kale I added, but I guarantee he couldn't taste it!

  • Golden apple pie

    • Acarroll on May 05, 2024

      Kids loved it.

  • Creeper cleanse

I liked this. Nice and refreshing!

Made this ages ago (May 4, 2025) and though the crackling was a fun bit, it felt more like a novelty given that the crackling ended fairly soon and I tasted none of the crackle from the popping candy when I could finally drink the tea. The cinnamon was a nice touch though.
