There are now only eight weeks until Christmas. This reality may induce mixed emotions, from pure panic to huge excitement. It definitely means it’s time to start feeling festive – ’tis now the season of that steep incline in social events and that slightly odd but inevitable compulsion to see, and celebrate with, everyone you know and love one more time before Christmas. As ever, our aim is to be at your side for every culinary need through this busiest of times. Last-minute entertaining? Whip up our dinner party in an hour (page 69). Party planning?
