I went to a pot luck with Casey and we all made a recipe and it was really tasty food! Casey has ghost written or co-written 20 cookbooks (including a forthcoming cookbook by Mona Talbot) so he knows his way around food and recipes!

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • White beans & tinned fish

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 22, 2026

Kind of bland but has potential.

  • Muhammara

    • wendolonia on January 10, 2026

Delicious and easy once I acquired the less common ingredients (Aleppo pepper and pomegranate molasses). My family ate it as an accompaniment in a shawarma bowl, as a spread on roast beef sandwiches, and just ate a ton of it with warmed pita.

  • Herb salad with homemade ranch

    • sloane_mgqknp on April 22, 2026

Delicious! The dressing makes it and also can double as a veggie dip.

  • Perfect pasta salad

  • Lorraine breakfast tart

    • vglong29 on July 26, 2025

Loved the Cheez-Its crust. I cooked this at 350 for 30 minutes and that was still a bit too long.

  • Blender cornbread

    • Crazy4cookbooks on May 09, 2026

This has become my favorite, go-to cornbread recipe. Easy to make, and everyone that eats it is a fan! Followed recipe exactly, and it’s perfect as written.

  • Mosaic Jell-o

    • Ducksinarose on July 28, 2025

    • Ducksinarose on September 15, 2025

Delicious - although I find that the white part overly rich and sweet with a whole can of condensed milk. I would play with this to add less condensed milk or use other milks (maybe canned coconut milk?), and other flavors (maybe almond instead of vanilla). Otherwise, this is definitely a crowd pleaser and got lots of wow’s.

    • Kinhawaii on December 26, 2025

Good for jello lovers. I used a minimal amount of milk mixture to avoid ducksinarose mentioned richness & less dairy- wasn’t rich but more jello forward. Made with strawberry, orange & grape. I wonder if clear vanilla would keep it whiter?

  • Subway cookies

    • vglong29 on August 10, 2025

These are the best chocolate cookies I've made. I didn't have black cocoa powder but Guittard Dark Cocoa is almost as dark. Stayed soft for 3 days.

    • Kinhawaii on October 06, 2025

These were delicious & I would definitely make them again. I made them in a smaller size- they are rich.

    • skvalentine on October 16, 2025

These were SO good. Will definitely make again.

  • Lemon bar cake

    • Kinhawaii on March 14, 2026

Delicious lemon bar alternative! Easy & one bowl if you melt the butter in the bowl. Will definitely make again. I was wondering about all the cream of tartar but it made it nice & tart!

  • Flourless chocolate olive oil cake

    • lela_bugsms on February 08, 2026

Almost brownie-like. Not too sweet — with unique but subtle notes of black pepper and orange zest.

In a room full of bags of chips, be the most desired dip with Golden Ratio Guac or Seven Onion Dip. Put down the $12 bottle of pinot grigio and pick up a tray of Jell-O Cocktail Shots. Discover a world of standout brunch dishes, such as Cream-Soaked Cinnamon Rolls or Bagel Panzanella. When you’re on dessert duty, choose from Buttermilk Brownies, Apple + Chinese Five-Spice Pie, Very Creamy Ice Cream, or death-by-chocolate Bruce Bogtrotter Cake. And when the host instructs you to bring yourself, come prepared with giftable treats like Seasoned Oyster Crackers or Homemade Hot Fudge. With plenty of options and adaptations for special diets and allergies, including vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free recipes, and detailed instructions for packing and serving for minimal stress on-site, this book is your road map for crowd-pleasing party fare. The only thing you’ll be taking home is the title of MVP—Most Valuable Partygoer.
