      The herb combo works well. I used 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs. Fresh chopped chives are a nice addition too.

  • Maharajah dressing

      This is more of a thick dip than a dressing, but the flavor was nice. I modified the ingredient amounts to get my desired consistency.

      Great soup. I increased the garlic to 2 cloves and the lemon juice to 2 tablespoons for a bit more zing.

      This was OK. Kind of bland. The recipe for Tomato Beef in Martin Yan's "Everybody's Wokking" is much tastier.

  • Lemon chicken

      I make this often. We marinate the chicken longer, 2 or 3 hours in the fridge, instead of only 15 minutes, for more flavor.

  • Chicken curry crêpes

      We loved this. I shredded the chicken rather than cubed it. Made it easier to roll the crepes. I have a favorite crepe recipe so didn't make the recipe in the book (on pg. 136).

      Wow! Talk about flavor! This was absolutely delicious. Made the recipe exactly as written. Couldn't be easier and came together quickly. Use sea scallops or diver's scallops, not bay scallops. I used fresh diver's scallops; expensive yes,but worth it for the end result.

      Be sure to use a really deep dish pie shell for this as will overflow if too shallow. I grated extra cheese and sprinkled on top before baking. The bake time is way off..takes more like 45-60 minutes. Otherwise, a really lovely quiche that I've made several times and everyone loves.

      Good basic fried rice recipe. Easily varied and doubled. I made this with crisped chopped Pancetta, carrots, onions, water chestnuts, fresh ginger, green peas,scallions, egg and leftover rice.

      Nice flavorful rice. Watch your timing as the oven temperature is hot and the bottom of the rice can brown and stick if cooked too long.

  • Soy and hot mustard dipping sauce

  • Sweet and sour sauce

      Sauce was sort of bland and watery. Reduced the amount of water to 1/2 cup and that made a tasty dipping sauce.

      These bars are awesome! Peeled the apples (recipe doesn't specify) and used golden raisins.
