  • Baked polenta with sausage

Such a comforting dish. I skipped the gorgonzola as I'm not a blue cheese fan, but next time I think I'll sub in Fontina for the gorgonzola so I don't miss out on some melted cheese goodness. Great "stick to your ribs" fare.

  • Roast chicken

  • Braised chicken thighs in tomatillo sauce

Made this for dinner tonight with tortillas and rice. We all like tomatillos but this just okay. Way too much liquid, it was like a soup consistency (and there was alot of broth) when it was supposed to be more of a sauce. Liked the flavors but felt the recipe need work.

      Good.

This is my all-time favorite fish recipe. So simple and healthy, yet packs a TON of delicious, briny flavor! My one suggestion is to only use two quarters of the lemon when cooking. A whole lemon can sometimes be too tart. Truly a showstopper dish!

Publishers Text

For the past three years, Esquire food editor and columnist Ryan D'Agostino has carefully developed and expanded Esquire's food coverage, adding more in-depth features and original recipes as reader response rocketed. Eat Like a Man reflects the magazine's full-throttle commitment to food and drink content as essential to the Esquire man's lifestyle. More than a recipe collection from eager contributors like David Chang, Hugh Acheson, Michael Symon, and Andrew Carmellini-or a retread of recipes from the magazine's special edition food issues-the book will be a selective collection of recipes for brunch, lunch, dinner, sides, drinks, and a few desserts, interspersed with serious essays and tangential riffs, all written by men for men in the Esquire style.
