Can substitute bolillos, French rolls, or submarine sandwich rolls for teleras, and feta cheese or goat cheese for queso fresco. See recipe for variations.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This made a flavorful torta, though I may prefer mine with straight up black beans. I served with the roasted tomatillo salsa, which is really necessary to provide some heat and acid.
