    Can substitute active dry yeast for instant yeast, fennel seeds for caraway seeds, chives for onion, and 4 Tbs of instant potato flakes for potato flour.

    Beautifully textured loaf and easy to make. I used the bread machine on dough setting then rolled and shaped by hand. There are lots of ways to make the herb flavoring (or a sweet flavoring). Next time I make this, I will make the herb butter a few days ahead of time and increase the amount of herbs in hopes of making the filling more flavorful.

    Very good, very easy and very versatile recipe. I used potato flakes instead of the potato flour.
