Cashew chicken (Yao guo ji ding) from Easy Chinese Recipes: Family Favorites from Dim Sum to Kung Pao by Bee Yinn Low

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Marinate chicken for 10 minutes before stir-frying. Can substitute sherry for Chinese rice wine.

    p. 91 – Another successful dish from this book. The the recipe is terrific as is, it also lends itself well to modifications and one of my favourites is to spice things up a bit by adding a tsp of sambal oelek to the sauce and a couple of whole Tien Tsin chilies in with the veggies. Chopped red onion also makes a nice addition. A quick, delicious and satisfying meal. Photo here: http://www.chowhound.com/post/cooking-fall-2015-show-meals-1025190?commentId=9776828
