Spinach salad with spiced pecans, lamb bacon, Clemson blue cheese and bourbon vinaigrette from Smoke & Pickles: Recipes and Stories from a New Southern Kitchen (page 34) by Edward Lee

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Doesn’t include a recipe for spiced pecans. I substituted regular bacon for the lamb bacon. Tasty salad.

We enjoyed this salad, but it was similar to a lot of other spinach salads. I found the dressing a little heavy. The recipe doesn't give instructions for making spiced pecans, even though it says spiced pecans in the recipe title. I used the recipe in Veganomicon for the spiced pecans. I used Benton's bacon instead of the lamb bacon.

Made this for first course at supper club, omitting the bacon. Well balanced. Spiced the pecans with salt and pepper with olive oil and maple syrup and roasted.
