Earthy green lentil curry (Moong ki dal) from Indian Every Day: Light, Healthy Indian Food by Anjum Anand

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

I'm working through various dhal recipes at the moment for cheap vegetarian lunch options. This was a success. Tasted fresh and comforting at the same time. I may have put in more ginger than called for but that just made the kitchen smell nice. I'm not very familiar with lentils. I don't think that my yellow mung dhal were split, but I don't know how to recognise that. I cooked it for longer than the recipe said as it was a bit watery. Makes enough for a generous lunch for 2 with two roti each
