    Absolute winner of a dinner last night! Upped the quantities of most everything slightly (more garlic, pine nuts, capers, fennel seeds, preserved lemon) to make up for my lack of lemon zest, and added some lemon juice to finish! Topped with garlicky roasted breadcrumbs and it was inhaled by the whole family. Will definitely make again and again!

    Added slow cooked fennel, used lemon zest and juice instead of preserved lemon, turned out great! Definitely will go into the regular rotation.

    Did not add the optional preserved lemon and regretted it. Would have added a little bit more freshness and acidity. Nice pantry meal nonetheless.

    Did combo of EVOO and Meyer lemon flavored olive oil. Added fresh lemon juice (from zested lemon) to finished dish for pumped up flavor. Reheated well. Nice pantry meal.
