Irish drunken cake, a chocolate Guinness cake with Irish whiskey and Irish cream whipped cream cheese frosting from Eat the Love by Irvin Lin

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I would give this cake 6 stars if I could. The cake is dark, rich and not overly sweet which is good because of all the luscious frosting you put on it. This frosting is truly the star of the show. Combining a cream cheese mascarpone frosting with unsweetened whipped cream is genius. The frosting is divided into 3/4 flavored with Irish whiskey and 1/4 flavored with Irish cream liqueur. The bottom three layers are frosted with the whiskey flavored frosting while the Irish cream liqueur flavored frosting goes on top. The result is pure delicious decadence. My guests were very impressed and loved it. One of them said she was going to take one of the pieces I was sending her home with to work the next day and auction it off.
