Guts 'n' glory granola from Salad Samurai: 100 Cutting-Edge, Ultra-Hearty, and Easy-to-Make Salads You Don't Have to Be Vegan to Love (page 159) by Terry Hope Romero

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute nutmeg for ground allspice, toasted pumpkin seeds for walnuts, and dried cranberries, raisins, or dried apricots for dried cherries. See recipe for variation.

I am not much of a granola eater but this recipe sounded so appealing I gave it a try (I also love the name!). It's excellent. I halved the recipe but forgot to halve the spices and that was a happy accident. I like it that way, especially that gingery kick. Minimal sweetening is just right. For the nut component I used sunflower seeds added raw and they toasted perfectly along with the oats. Good with milk or just for snacking. Bf loves it too. Keeper!
