    These beans were very flavorful and reminded me of the beans we order from our local Texas bbq joints. I covered and let these simmer well beyond the suggested time, so that they would be warm when I brought them to a friend’s house for dinner. Went well with smoked spareribs, potato salad, and mac & cheese.
