Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    I followed the recipe as written but I did have to use a bit more oil to get the mushrooms to actually brown. I also found the sauce too thin even after cooking uncovered for the last 10 minutes. I had to use a bit of a corn starch slurry at the end to get a proper sauce consistency. All that said, the results were good. The sauce had a nice bit of tang and umami and the steaks were still flavourful despite being so lean. I did serve two steaks per person for some big eaters. It was well received.

    Delicious! I’ve served it with mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower.
