Orange & white chocolate loaf cake from Crumb: The Baking Book (page 37) by Ruby Tandoh

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute white chocolate for white chocolate chips.

I thought this was good at the time of making but wondered whether a tangy citrus icing would work better to my tastes as there is a lot of white chocolate going on. This freezes beautifully and after trying it again I will be making it again. Quick to whip up too

Really delicious, the orange and white chocolate is a great flavour combination.

I thought a 9"x5" pan would yield a very short loaf, but the cake rose a fair amount, although I still might use an 8.5"x4.5" pan next time. This was delicious even without the white chocolate drizzle. If you want to dress it up, try serving it with Ina Garten's orange custard sauce.

The flavors in this are great. I skipped the white chocolate drizzle on top after realizing that I did not have enough white chocolate on hand.

    So decadent and lovely!

A new favourite - orange scented sponge and lashings of white chocolate. Bliss.
