    I had such high hopes for this: I love all the ingredients individually and loved the general idea of the dish. Unfortuntaely the reality was very underwhelming: even though I followed the recipe precisely and then gave it extra time in the oven to try to get the liquid to evaporate, the bottom layers were still swimming in stock and the parsnips were just goo sitting there at the bottom. The vegetables mostly just tasted boiled, it was such a shame there was no caramelisation except for some of the potatoes on the top. Won't repeat.
