Bacon bites from King Arthur Flour

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

It's football season for many families and this is a good recipe for half time treats. No, this is not a health food but will surely make bacon addicts happy. The "bites" can be made well ahead and frozen. When needed, bake the frozen bites for about 35 minutes. King Arthur Flour has easy to follow instructions with possible variations. The recipe says to use sandwich type bread and they assume 20 slices. You are supposed to cut each rolled and filled slice into thirds. I was left with filling but I took ordinary bread slices and flattened them with a rolling pin. Worked fine. Also you can stretch thin bacon slices so you use less bacon but the flavor is still there.
