    I first made this for a Thanksgiving dessert back in 1998 and it was a huge hit. And, it was so much easier than making a pumpkin pie! the combination of the pear and bourbon flavors works really well. My only issue with it was that it seemed that there was just too much bourbon (and I love bourbon!). I have made it many times since then and have decreased the amount of bourbon by about a third and I've liked that version even better.
