Basic, great chocolate chip cookies from Seven Spoons: My Favorite Recipes for Every and Any Day (page 215) by Tara O'Brady

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

These are fantastic and very easy to make using melted butter. No need to get the mixer out. They are perfectly chewy and crisp. I will remake this recipe again.

Absolutely my favorite chocolate chip cookie. I love the fact that no mixer is required as the recipe calls for melted butter. The chewy texture is spot-on every time. I make these with Guittard Onyx bittersweet chocolate wafers.

I have been making chocolate chip cookies for decades. I can make them without a recipe at this point but I am always trying out new versions.. First recipe from this book and it is a keeper. Melted butter and mixing by hand makes these so easy to put together. I used slightly less chocolate, because that is how we prefer them, and added walnuts. The large quantity of brown sugar makes these chewy with crisp edges and caramel notes, and the balance of salt is on point. I scoop and freeze so we can have fresh baked cookies on demand.

Yum. Sugary, chocolatey, cakey but chewy. Nice change from traditional.

My new go to cookies. Perfect every time with crisp outer edges and chewy middles. Love that you don't have to wait to soften the butter and instead just melt it.

Very yummy and easy cookies. Made them smaller than recommended. Recommended by TorontoJo on Chowhound. Chewy texture, no need to make ahead or soften butter.

....they are my favourite and not just because they taste amazing straight from the oven or the next day but they are a melt and mix recipe. The best kind.
