Dorie Greenspan's sheet pan chicken with apples and kale from Everyday Dorie at The Washington Post by Dorie Greenspan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute garam masala for ras el hanout, lemons for sumac, and ground cayenne pepper for harissa.

This is a sheet pan bake which made it a simple course to prep. I loved the ras el hanout and sumac flavors on the apples and chicken. Apart from being easy to make, great flavors it also looked pretty in the tray (my pic is before it went in the oven). I served it with roasted sweet potato wedges. Don’t you love a meal where all elements cook together? This would be easy enough for a weeknight dinner while also being impressive enough for company.
